1962 Land Rover Dormobile - New galvanized chassis, springs , shocks, all brakes redone, including shoes, wheel cylinders, drums, master cylinder and all flex and metal lines. New wheel bearings, front swivels, tie rod ends, steering box and relay. Engine is 8:1 with new rear main seal. Series 3 Syncro gearbox with overdrive, new clutch assy, master cylinder and reservoir. Salisbury rear axle, new check straps, 5 new 16 inch wheels and tires. Paint and body work done by one of the best in the country who restores award winning classic cars. Each part disassembled, prepped, etched, sealed, sanded then painted before assembly. All galvanizing removed and redone, New door seals on each door. Dual water/ temp gauge, new wiring harness and dash indicator lights. Smiths round heater. Wings, bonnet and doors are new along with many new panels. Correct Dormobile seats that work as they should. Stove and wardrobe redone in Hammerite gray paint. New propane bottles, and table. Top bunks redone, new canopy, top vent and roof glass. Top is totally redone with all stainless hardware. New wrap around curtains and interior trim, new headliner, matting in the rear and thick carpet in the front. Door trim on all doors with pocketed trim on front doors. Windscreen, front doors and rear door have all new glass. Locks on all doors and window glass. Many added touches such as map pockets and brass inserts for seat bases and table base. Three point seat belts for four people. replaced on the outside including the bottom. The hard work has
been done. Includes choice of low mileage GMC 270 engines.New water
transfer case, and regular transfer case. Transmission is good low
mileage take out from CCKW. New parts include rubber boots, wheel
cylinders, drums, master cylinder, windshield, and many other. The
only things known missing are the pedal assemblies and front driveshaft
